Cole Camp High School Girls Basketball: The 2024-25 Cole Camp girls team headed south December 2nd to participate in the 37th annual Warsaw Girls Tournament. Other teams included were #1 Skyline, Knob Noster, Warsaw, Leeton, Windsor, Weaubleau and Lincoln. Two seniors-Mackenzie Moellman and Emma Thayer are joined by 5 juniors. Payton Shoemaker, Katherine Timoshchuk, Marilyn Hesse, Kaitlyn Whitworth, and Alivia Haase. Leighton Tinney is the sophmore representative followed by a flock of freshmen! Leah Allison, Madilynn Ogle, Kodi Dieckman, Kristin Carl, Maddie Florez, Lauren Hesse, Kaia Kyser, Hallie Meyer, Rylyn Stoppel, and Norah Wight. Keep in mind this was a preseason lineup and may change at any time. Facing #2 Knob Noster, the 7th seed Lady Bluebirds' scoring was led by Ogle with a pair of 3's in the opening qtr. Timoshchuk with a pair of free throws and Meollman a fieldgoal. The Lady Panthers, coached by Drew Apsher, were led by sophomore Ella Goodrich with nine. Panthers led 21-10 after 1. Timoshchuk with four in the 2nd qtr. Moellman with three and two each from Ogle and Thayer. Lot of effort goes into a game that doesn't show up on the scoreboard. Allison with nice work mid qtr for Cole Camp. Lady Panthers lead 39-21 at half. Knob Noster kept their foot on the gas in the third qtr, led by Goodrich again with nine. Moellman and Whitworth each with baskets for Cole Camp. Score after 3 was 57-25. Coach Derald Henderson kept working with his young teen till the end. Florez with good hustle on defense to grab a steal. Haase a steal also and Carl nailed a three late. Final tally of Panthers 64, Cole Camp 28. Scoring: Ogle 8, Moellman 7, Timoshchuk 6, Carl 3, Thayer 2, Whitworth 2. Goodrich had 23 leading the Lady Panthers. Thank you to Arthur Keuper for writing this article.

Students in Mrs. Schlesselman’s Advanced 8th Grade Math collected data by measuring height, wingspan and foot size using tape measures, fabric tapes and yard sticks. They organized their data into a spread sheet. Finally students plotted their data points on giant graph paper to show correlations between the three components.
