Have a great weekend!!!

Cole Camp Boys and Girls Wrestling will participate in the Greater Missouri Wrestling Conference Tournament tomorrow(1/25/25) at Lone Jack High School beginning at 9:00 AM.

The Cardinals and the Bluebirds faced off on the basketball court January 21st at Cole Camp. There was also a faceoff between the two school mascots. Both appeared near half court to do a little dance competition. Good natured fun at the games!
Cole Camp fell behind 0-10 starting the JV contest and never really recovered. Micah Davis and Ty Loganbill scored 2 each as the Bluebirds trailed 4-14 after 1 qtr.
Lincoln connected on three 3 pointers in the 2nd qtr. That helped increase their lead to a halftime score of Lincoln 26, Cole Camp 8.
Bovey Clark zeroed in a couple long range baskets for the Bluebirds in the 3rd. Lincoln freshman guard Braeden Ferguson made a couple of excellent passes to teammates advancing to the basket. Timing and accuracy is the difference between a score or a turnover. Lincoln ahead 38-16 after 3.
Lincoln added 5 early but did not score again in the last 4:25 of the 4th qtr. Cole Camp added 8, but left a few opportunities on the floor, missing 5 freethrow chances. Final score of Lincoln 43, Cole Camp 24.
Scoring: Clark 6, Davis 6, Loganbill 4, Burdick 3, Espey 3, Abey 2. Grayson Rutherford with 16 leading Lincoln.
Varsity game featured Lincoln with an 11-2 record and the Bluebirds at 2-8.
Cole Camp led for 2 minutes thanks to a Colton Dieckman basket. Lincoln added the next 9 and so it went. Brett Burdick and Kolby Bohon with long range 3s late. Score of Cole Camp 10, Lincoln 16 after 1.
Dasch Kaiser and Blake Abey put their names in the scoring book with 2 each in the 2nd. However Lincoln increased their lead to 26-18 by halftime.
Lincoln outscored Cole Camp 15-6 in the third. Big Ben Eckhoff - 6 ft 4" and strong as a Super Duty Ford, with 5 points and a bunch of rebounds for the Cardinals! Burdick another long range shot, but by the end of three Lincoln was up 41-24.
Kolton Phillips, always working hard on defense, scored his 4th field goal in the 4th. This gave him one and each qtr. Bovey Clark nailed a 3 and at 1:06 left, Connor Petersen put in the last 2 for Cole Camp. Final score Lincoln 50, Cole Camp 31.
Scoring: Phillips 8, Burdick 6, Dieckman 4, Bohon 3, Kaiser 3, Clark 3, Petersen 2, Abey 2. Eckhoff with 14 pacing Lincoln, Riley Sanders 10. Thank you to Arthur Keuper for writing this article.

Cole Camp Boys and Girls Wrestling will participate in the Holden Quad today at Holden High School beginning at 5:30.

And the trophy goes to... the TEACHERS!
Teachers defeat the Seniors 2-1. Great job to all the players and coaches - always a fun night of volleyball!

The Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds were in Lincoln January 20th to play in Lincoln's new gym. Very nice facility and most seats have lean backs!
Kaitlyn Whitworth made 2 freethrows 15 seconds into the varsity contest. Lincoln freshman Lily Mellon scored 6, and that was the extent of the 1st qtr scoring. Lincoln up 6-2.
Mellon another 10 in the 2nd qtr, including two traditional 3-point plays. Cole Camp was able to recover in the latter part of the qtr. Katherine Timoshchuk a pair of fieldgoals, Emma Thayer a downtown 3 plus a two. And Whitworth a pair of freethrows so a manageable deficit of 5 at halftime.
Baskets by Madilynn Ogle and MacKenzie Moellman cut the lead to one early 3rd qtr. Then for the rest of the qtr it seemed Cole Camp was handling a melting ice cube. Multiple turnovers led to a 15-2 run for the Lady Cardinals. Lincoln led 33-19 after 3.
Pretty quiet 4th qtr. Cole Camp added 4, Lincoln 3. Final score of Lincoln 36, Cole Camp 23.
Scoring: Thayer 7, Timoshchuk 6, Moellman 4, Whitworth 4, Ogle 2. Lily Mellon tallied 25 for Lincoln, 19 over her average. Moellman 8 rebounds, Hesse and Whitworth 5 each.
Two qtrs of JV girls action followed the varsity. Cole Camp starters were Alivia Haase , Norah Wight, Kristin Carl, Maddie Flores, and Rylyn Stoppel. Leighton Tinney and Kaia Kyser also played.
Flores with a 3-point shot for Cole Camp and that was it for the entire 7 minutes of the qtr. Cole Camp 3, Lincoln 0.
Flores with a steal to layup combo opening the 2nd, and she would repeat that again later. Carl chipped in 4 points and Wight a basket for Cole Camp. Lincoln added 5 in the last 50 seconds, however Cole Camp still won the JV contest 13-7.
Scoring: Flores 7, Carl 4, Wight 2. Thank you to Arthur Keuper for this article.
