The Advanced Art students are having an introductory lesson in oil painting using the Bob Ross technique. we discussed prep and cleanup, and the students used video tutorials to follow along with a composition of their choice. They did a great job following and expanding on what Bob Ross presented!

Cole Camp was at Tipton High School February 27th for the semi-final round game of the Class 2 District 8 playoffs. The opponent was the host Tipton team with a record of 22-4.
Madilynn Ogle nailed a 3 at 6:18 of the opening qtr putting Cole Camp up 3-2. Tipton soon pulled ahead as expected, but for a few seconds, the scoreboard was friendly to look at.
With so many weapons, Tipton connected from long range, short range, layups and freethrows scoring the next 18. Junior Ava Schlotzhauer had 9 in the qtr and Tipton led 20-3.
Tipton added 27 in the second qtr with senior Charlee Bailey scoring 15 of those. Ogle hit another 3 at 2:41 and MacKenzie Moellman a basket at 1:55. Halftime score of Tipton 47, Colt Camp 8.
Leah Allison and Ogle with back to back 3's shortly after intermission. Kaitlyn Whitworth a fieldgoal mid qtr and Payten Shoemaker drained a 3 late. Score after 3 stood at Tipton 66, Cole Camp 19.
Still playing their starters in the last qtr, Tipton hit several 3-point shots. Moellman and Allison each with baskets for Cole Camp and Shoemaker made 2 of 2 freethrows. Those were the only 2 freethrows attempted by Cole Camp all game. Final score of Tipton 82, Cole Camp 25.
Scoring: Ogle 9, Shoemaker 5, Allison 5, Moellman 4, Whitworth 2. Schlotzhauer with 22, Clara Williams 20, Bailey 18 for Tipton. All that production with their 2nd leading scorer for the season sitting out due to injury recovery.
Even with the lopsided margin, the Lady Bluebirds maintained their composure and took the outcome with class. Good luck to Tipton as they move on to the next round. Thank you to Arthur Keuper for writing this article.
