Don't forget - the Blue Crew store is HERE! There are 3 design offerings again this year, and we will have items in hand by December 9. There is a shipping option, as well, for any fans that aren't close. SpookyBear did a great job (as always) of bringing our visions to life - we hope you like them! The store will remain open until noon on November 27th. https://sbss.chipply.com/ccBLUECREW/

In Art 1, the students did studies of the classroom skeleton. Students learned to start with simple contours or outlines, develop proper proportions with simpler shapes, and then made the simpler shapes more organic and complex. They finally rendered values and modeling to the drawings with graphite, ink, and/or charcoal media. The idea is to exercise direct observation skills and develop hand-eye coordination. The students from both secrions for Art 1 did a fantastic job!

In Ms. Callahan's Forensics class, we're unraveling the truth—one fiber at a time! 🔍 Did you know that fibers burn in unique ways? That means they can be key evidence in matching a crime to a suspect. A little science, a lot of mystery, and a whole lot of detective work!

Physics in action: Ms. Callahan’s Physical Science classes built catapults and launched their knowledge (and some projectiles) across the classroom and basketball court! Some groups nailed it, while others... let’s just say, didn't quite hold together long enough for a test. Engineering lesson *mostly* successful!"

Congratulations to October's Students of the Month! The characteristic they were nominated on is respect. Here's what their teachers had to say about them: Braden Poe - Braden is a walking embodiment of respect. He comes to class first thing prepared and willing to participate. Though soft spoken at times, he is ALWAYS respectful to his peers and works well with everyone. He has been a joy to have in class. Kate Harrison - Kate is always respectful to me as well as her peers. She is always helping out others when they need help understanding something, and she does a great job asking for help or pointing something out when she needs it as well! Evan Begshaw - Evan is always respectful toward other students and teachers. He raises his hand in class instead of blurting out answers. He is kind and respectful of others even if they get an answer wrong. Instead of laughing at an incorrect answer he is quick to help his classmates when he can. Kaylan Poe - Kaylan is very respectful toward teachers. Never impolite in asking questions or making requests. Levi Sisler - Every day he shows respect not just to adults, but to every one of his peers. It doesn't matter the mood or how hard the homework is, he still shows respect to those around him. (2) Always respectful to teachers and other students. Always a cheerful kid with a smile on his face. Having Levi in class brightens up my day. Kaylyn Barnes - No matter who she is partnered with, she gives them respect and care. She would help anyone even if they didn't ask. She also shows the upmost respect to teachers and adults by her words and actions. She is always willing to try things, and never has a harsh word to say. **Left to right: Evan Begshaw (10), Braden Poe (12), Kaylan Poe (9), Kate Harrison (11), Kaylyn Barnes (7), Levi Sisler (8)
