8th grade students in Mrs. Schlesselman’s Advanced Math class measured wingspan, height and shoe size in November. We had a follow up measuring day to see how much each student has grown. Miraculously some students have gotten shorter! Which lead to a hilarious discussion about the importance of accuracy when measuring. All in all; we had a great day of hands on learning.

The Kaysinger Conference Baseball Tournament game(Cole Camp vs Green Ridge) scheduled for tonight in Cole Camp has been moved to 5:00 pm.
Senior Anastasia Procopisen who is attending the SFCC CTC Graphic Design program designed the vinyl art for the Heckart Community Center's elevator doors. Anastasia and senior Leigha Harrison installed the design. Congratulations Anastasia!

Cancelled - Girls Soccer - the Girls Soccer game scheduled for tonight at Stover vs Lone Jack has been cancelled.
FFA Banquet - the FFA Banquet on this Friday evening(5/2/2025) has been moved to 6:30pm with a meal followed by awards.
Tonight's Softball game against Lincoln has been postponed due to weather.

Tonight was a night to remember for our National Honor Society chapter!
We proudly inducted 9 outstanding new members who exemplify the core values of NHS—Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. We also had the privilege of recognizing 4 exceptional students with our prestigious Pillar Awards, honoring their dedication and excellence in each of these core areas.
As we celebrated new beginnings, we also bid a fond farewell to our graduating senior members. Thank you for your leadership, hard work, and the legacy you've left behind. We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.

6th grade band concert tonight. They have improved so much since the beginning of the year when they didn't even know how to hold their instruments. All the soloists earned Exemplary and the band earned Outstanding last weekend at Conference contest. What a great evening of music!
